My original vision for our kitchen was a modern farmhouse space that was open, bright, and functional. We love to cook and bake as a family so I really wanted a welcoming and happy space to do so in. This was by far my favorite room to design within our home. I feel like it fits our style perfectly and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!
It gives me all the warm fuzzies! I foresee lots of wonderful memories being made within this space.

OH it looks SO good!! Love how light and bright it is...gorgeous!
Sooo amazing, Lindsay! I love that you guys followed your dreams to do this! Does your husband have a long commute to work? It seems like you're out "in the country" -- so just wondering. I dream of doing something similar, but my husband works in NYC, so we could never get far enough out to do it and still have a livable commute. So happy for you though!
Michelle- Thank you so much! And we are out in the country a bit, but my husband has only a 20 minute commute at max :)
It's gorgeous! What an inspiring space. Awesome job :)
Looks great! I love the exposed extractor pipe/duct thingy, and it's all so bright and clean! Love it!
Oh my gosh I'm in love! I still love my own kitchen but you are really giving me kitchen envy! I love all the details and your dishes are just so pretty on the open shelving!
It looks fabulous!! You guys were so brave to renovate a barn and all of your hard work and vision have truly paid off!
Gorgeous!
Pretty flipping awesome. How far away do you have to go for school?
This is so beautiful and looks like such a peaceful space. I love the gold hardware too!

It looks amazing! I know a remodel can feel like the "yellow brick road to nowhere" at times. :) Love the simplicity of everything and of course the farmhouse sink!
Oh my gosh that's gorgeous!!! Where did you get those pretty floating shelves?!!

so pretty, i love the white. can i ask where the toaster is from? i almost didn't ask cuz it's like you remodel your kitchen so gorgeously and i'm all "hey, where's that toaster from!?" but yeah, i'd love to know.
amy j. - Haha no worries! :) The brand is Smeg and I got it at West Elm. I went ahead and added a link for it under sources so you can find it easily.
It's beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Would you be able to do more details, like price breakdown, reason for particular choice, what's your fav thing, mistakes, etc.
