Hot air balloon sighting in our backyard. The boys get so excited every time they spot one.
A case of wine from my family's wine company, Craveyon Cloud Wines. Now these are the types of gifts I am talking about. I usually prefer red/dry wines over sweet and fruity, but the Orange Muscat has been one of my favorites. It's the perfect summer sipping wine...or anytime sipping wine for that matter.
Ian teaching the boys the art of egg cracking and scrambled egg making.
A frontrunner cement tile sample for the powder bath. I am going in a slightly different direction with the interior design of our new home and I can't wait to share more. Also, thank you for all of those who left opinions regarding our flooring. It helped make our final decision so much easier!
Homemade pizza, which has become our newest tradition on Sunday evenings. I let the boys basically do everything and the result is always the ugliest yet yummiest pizza ever.
This has been the loooooogest week in the history of longest weeks. Ian got home last night after being gone for a week on business and I could not be more excited for the long 3 day weekend that starts now. We will be relaxing, making a trip to the beach, doing a little wine tasting and attempting to capture the remaining lizard that still resides in our kitchen..ughhhh.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I love cement tiles! Especially that one! Can't wait to see!
Oh wow I haven't seen a hot air balloon in ages - they'd make me excited and happy too. And the tiles are super super lovely :)

Which red of theirs is your favorite? I'm tempted.
about a month after we moved across the country and the day before we had our first kid, my husband was unexpectedly informed that he would be deploying for a year. I took the baby and the dog back to my parents house, which was in the middle of a complete gut job. My dog kept trying to eat their dog. The only place that had a floor was my old bedroom and the only place with running water was one bathroom and only at night. The plumber yelled at me in polish every time I tried to get water before i realized the line was shut down for the day. It was horrible. we grilled a LOT and drank even more wine for about 4 months. Then a hurricane flooded the basement and our town was without power for 2 weeks. And then, I got attacked by a deer walking the dog one night. And then my husband's mid tour leave was cancelled the night before his flight. It was a really really really long year and in the end it wasn't even my house. BUT my dad has great wine that I could never afford so that deployment/renovation year was filled with Cakebread and Borollo. And patron. And champagne. And hard cider.
It is delicious!
