Hello! Life has been INSANE with the barn renovation and at the moment blogging seems almost impossible at the end of the day. So instead of trying to play catch up here, I decided it was best to just update you with a bunch of random thoughts you may or may not care about but I felt compelled to share anyway...
- We recently had some family pictures taken at our barn (well minus Ian because there is not enough bribes in this world to make him take pictures more than once a year) by Karen DeMamiel, who just so happens to be the sweetest and most patient gal ever. The boys were running around like complete nut jobs the entire time and she still managed to capture some pretty amazing shots.
- Snapchat. Why would I want something to stay up for only 10 minutes or whatever? I don't get it. Plus I feel like I'm too old for it. Do you have one? Do you get it? You are more than welcome to explain why you think it's awesome below if you would like.
- I turn 30 in a few weeks and I am freaking out about it! I know it's just a number and blub blub bluuuubbbb but it's still freaking me out regardless. We spent my husband's 30th in Vegas last week with our good friends and had a blast! And now that I think about it, he didn't freak out so maybe I just need to chill a little bit.
- When someone interviews you (me) for a pretty big article and they say they are going to record you so they can go back later and quote you, refrain from using the word "totally" over and over and over again. I learned, ha!
- Bipolar blogging. Pretty sure it's a thing and I am almost positive I have it. Some months I am so stoked to blog and then others (like recently) I have zero interest. So instead of fighting this constant bipolar blogging battle, I am just going to blog when I have something to say and not blog when I don't.
- For those of you who were wanting an update regarding the castor oil for eyelash growth, it is doing WONDERS! My lashes are now thicker and longer than they have even been before! My mind is blown.
Be back soon! xo

I totally understand what you mean about the bipolar blogging! Also, I just noticed I said totally, oops! Haha. Anyways, sometimes I feel like it's such a struggle to blog, and then other times I want to post every day! I've found it's just better to go with the flow and blog when you feel like it!
Hope your renovation is going well!
Super cute photos.
I'm not even on Instagram, so Snapchat is lost on me.
30!? Holy crap, girl, I'll be 40 this year. Thirty is still a baby!!!!!!
Good to see your pretty face. Looking forward to barn updates.
Snapchat. It's 10 seconds, MAX that a picture is up. I have it, only because my 22 year old son, and 19 year old daughter each have it, and it's technology that they use, so I do, too. It's a way to keep in touch and say, "I'm thinking of you", so I embrace that! My kids are in college 90 miles/minutes from home, so I embrace most any way to see their faces, and share in their lives. If I want to keep a picture, I take a screenshot. Now my son's girlfriend of 2 years, (someday spouse, he says) is also on there, and I love her, and she also sends snaps. That's my story. You have a lovely family, btw, and don't lament age 30 (or any age!), just enjoy the heck out of every single day! Love my adult kids, but sometimes wish I could revisit their young years, when we parents were their entire world.
Awesome photos!! And I didn't get Snapchat for a long time either, BUT here is why I love it. You can just throw stuff up there...it creates a 24 hour story...and it doesn't have to be perfect or edited, like for Instagram. It's just a fun way to share without worrying about any of it being perfect. I also love seeing stories from nearby--in my case, Tahoe. They compile stories from Snapchatters in your area and it's fun/funny to see what people are up to.
So basically your entire family is abnormally photogenic. Ugh. ;) Love these pics! So sweet! I am so guilty of bipolar blogging. Currently, I'm too lazy/unmotivated/overwhelmed by the need to catch up that I'm completely ignoring it. ha! As far as turning 30...... omg. I freaked. the. f. out. Leaving my twenties sounded like the end of the world. But here I am at 33 (WHA?!) and really my 30s have been the greatest years! It's true what they say, you feel more comfortable in your skin in your 30s. I am much more confident in myself at this point in my life, and people take you more seriously in your 30s. Once the initial shock of being 30omg wears off, you will realize it's fabulous. And you, my dear, will be extra fabulous, because it's what you do! XOXO!
oh and PS - seriously wth is snapchat?! I see no need for it. This old lady aint got time fo dat.
I didn't see the point in snapchat at first. But once I had it, I loved it. Like someone else said, you can just post random silly pictures - anything you want, and it only stays up for a few seconds. Beware though, people can screen shot it (but you get a notification if they do lol). You can also post "your story" which goes to all your friends on your snapchat and that stays up for 24 hours. A lot of times, people will send a bunch of "snaps" in their story, so it's like a little story, pic/video after pic/video. It's kinda neat.
I think snapchat is great for people who normally deem it necessary to post 25,000 pictures on instagram a day, of every step of their day. It's a little less annoying on snapchat;)
And sometimes it makes me laugh hysterically b/c it's okay to post crazy funny stupid things on snapchat, it's just fun. Also, I ended up getting it when I had friends who moved far away so it's a good way to keep in touch every day!
I am turning 30 this year too, ahhhhh! (later this year tho) craziness. I don't feel old though, 30 is the new 20 ;)
Felicia
My younger brother has snapchat and always telling me to get the app. I don't understand it. I tell him snapchat is for 14 year old girls to send photos of themselves to each other doing the ridiculous duck lips!
outfit details please!!! love love love!
and i turned 30 a few weeks back.... i wasn't too thrilled and totally dreaded it, but it hasn't been all that bad ;)
Nope I don't get Snapchat either, glad it's not just me!
Oh my goodness. I have to thank you so much for introducing me to the magic that is castor oil! I had a mishap with an eyelash curler and wound up cutting out chunks of my eyelashes on BOTH eyes, but now just like a week and a half later they're almost back to normal! You, are a goddess among mortals!
