A new (to me) pair of vintage Danish chairs that my aunt found at a thrift store. We had them reupholstered and I could not be happier with how they turned out. I am still debating whether or not to stain them walnut or leave them be. Thoughts?
Max (my little baking helper/mess maker) and I made our favorite triple berry cobbler with some berries we picked up from the farmer's market. This lasted a while 8 hours in our house before every last bit was gone. Recipe can be found here.
Dining room progress. We added a new light and hung a mirror, which was a killer Craig's List find. Things are coming along!
Life lately has been busy in a good way. I have been putting all my energy it seems into house projects. We have quite a bit going on over here and I will share more updates soon. I also have an appointment this morning with my endocrinologist to talk to him about taking a pump vacation and going back to manual insulin injections. After reading all of the awesome feedback here I am even more pumped (pun intended) to go pump free for the summer.
Have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Your house is so beautiful! You're doing a great job decorating. I think the chairs would look great with a different stain. The contrast would be really nice.
That cobbler looks delish! I have a pair of Birks that are about 10 years old, and they are still alive and kicking. I love them!
Happy Friday!

That triple berry cobbler is DIVINE!!!!
That cobbler looks fabulous, I'm making it for Easter. I hope it tastes as good as it looks. So far we've enjoyed all your recipes we've tried!
I love Birkenstocks!! My husband loves his too...but they look like they're from BC since he had them for so long!
Those chairs!! What a find! I say leave them, they look great!
I've been wearing Birkenstocks for years. They are the most comfortable shoes ever!!
I am curious to see how you handle working out when on a pump vacation! You always inspire me Lindsay! I remember being so jealous when you posted (a loooong while ago) that you were back to your pre preg weight - we had our babes around the same time and no matter what I do, I can't lose those last 10 lbs. I would really love to take a pump vacation but have no idea how I would make it through a run or a spin class without bottoming out!! Please keep us posted on everything :)
I love the chairs as they are. Very mid-century cool!
DYING over those chairs!! What an amazing find! Would leave the wood the way it is, if I were you!
I have only used injections since diagnosis last year but really doubt I will ever use a pump. My hba1c is 5.6 but I also eat paleo and low carb. I only inject long acting levemir before bed and then depending on what I eat sometimes one or no injections daily. I tend to have more carbs in one meal a day and that might need an injection. It's easy to forget I have diabetes unless I want to indulge which definitely makes things harder to manage. I also live in Australia so we have hot weather a lot and I don't want to hide a pump in bathers or summer outfits!
Leave the chairs. OMG. I almost died when I saw those Lindsay! Can your aunt go thrift shopping for me???!!! ;) Also good on you for those birkenstocks. Haha. Maybe Ian will get a pair someday for himself once he realizes how comfy you are!! ;)
wondering where you got your chandelier??
I love Birkenstocks too…and yay for it being warm enough for sandals! xxx
Love, love my Birks! I had a severe case of plantar fasciitis a couple years ago. Several people recommended that I wear Birks, and I've been hooked ever since. I wish every shoe felt like them.
I felt the same way your husband does about the Birkenstocks. But they are SO COMFY I wear them all the time. When it was time for a new pair, one of their newer styles, piazza, caught my eye. Very stylish and just as comfy.
