Perfectly seared ahi sashimi. Mmm! Never mind that the actual lunch atmosphere was chaotic and I am pretty sure we win an award for leaving the biggest messes at tables.
What I am currently reading thanks to a few of your recommendations on this post. I am completely obsessed and can not put it down. So so good! In fact by the time this post is live I will most likely be done reading it since I plan on staying up late to finish it.
My little herb garden that we planted in a giant wine barrel, nothing beats fresh fruit, veggies and herbs grown in your own backyard.
A late afternoon bike ride. They had so much fun and this little attachment thing is so great for kids!
Attempting natural egg dying with Max. We used cranberry powder, spinach powder, turmeric and blueberries. They all turned out great minus the fact that most of the eggs were cracked by the time we were finished. Woopsie. Max did not understand the term "gentle" with this project, ha!
Have a wonderful Easter Weekend!

Sounds like you had an enjoyable week. Love the picture of Max dying eggs.
That IS a good book!
Okay, pinnin' the book for future reading. And I really wish I could find someone who wanted to get rid of a bunch of those wine barrels. :)
So funny about the eggs! Isn't Gone Girl fantastic? I think I finished it in 48 hours or something crazy. Happy weekend friend!
Happy Good Friday and Easter! I am like number one hundred and something on the waiting list at the library for this book!!
A great book to read is "Kitchen House" by Kathleen Grissom. We read that for a recent book club meeting and it was AWESOME!!
I'd just like to say that I so enjoy your blog! It is witty, humorous and real. May I ask what kind of dirt you use for your herbs? Thank you!

Anna- thank you so much for the sweet compliment! For our garden we use the soil from our compost pile and then place "pretty" (ha) organic soil from Home Depot on top :)
I really want to tackle my own little herb garden for the balcony - thanks for the inspiration! And happy weekend!

That looks so yummy!
I couldn't put Gone Girl down!
How long did it take you to get into Gone Girl? I'm about 20% in and sooo bored.
Nic- right away I was into it!
I'll have to read that book, thanks!

That's a GREAT idea for dying eggs! I tried recommending that yesterday for egg dying, but that was a no-go :p. My step dad has one of those things for my baby brother Vinnie and my step brother Jesse too. That sushi looks delicious and that looks like a really good book! Happy Easter to the whole family!!
