Things That Make Me Say Yeay + Keepin It Real

My latest obsession.  Dairy free and organic frozen yogurt from Sprouts Natural Market.  It is made with coconut milk and it tastes amazing...even the chocolate chips are gluten free.  Pretty awesome.  Oh and yes...Max still has a binky.  He needs to go to a binky support group.  Seriously the kid is addicted.

Something that I am very passionate about and will be voting for.

Reactivating our wine club again post pregnancy means getting awesome deals on two of my favorite wines.

A Max approved Paleo muffin.

Handmade heart polymer clay earrings.  So easy to make.  All you do is use a tiny heart cutout stencil (found at a craft store) and super glue earring backs on after they bake.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

On a side note:  I always want to keep it real around here.  Sometimes it may seem like my life is always bubbles, baking, jewelry making (hey I rhymed) and happy babies...but it is not.  I only choose to share the mostly happy tiny tiny snippets of my life here and on Instagram.  I am sure all of you would not love to see pictures of Ronin screaming like a dying dinosaur (it is torture) while I am carrying him around in the Baby Bjorn right?  Or that moments after I took the picture of the frozen yogurt, Max started having a temper tantrum and we had to pack it up and leave.  And the whole time I was hoping all the other Moms in the store were not thinking I was a horrible parent.  Being a full time Mom is hard and I am so thankful that sometimes I am able to fill the tiny free moments in my day with some of the things you see here.

Great post! My 18 month old is obsessed with his paci too...I keep saying I need to get rid of it, but he just loves it so much. I justify it in that it just keeps me (momma) more sane.

hope you have a great weekend...and I'm all about focusing on the good times instead of the bad, even if it sometimes seems like the bad their ugly heads more often than the good!

I love your last paragraph because that's the disclaimer i need to put on my blog too. I think people think we frolic through fields of wildflowers while giggling with each other. Not so :)

You are doing great hun, and we appreciate seeing the lovely and hearing the tough. You are so good to stay home with your kids. BTW THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU about telling me about the no diary yogurt. I can't have dairy, and my quality in love (in regards to food) sucks right now!!!

Ah! Sorry, I have to respectfully disagree with you on Prop 37. We definitely have a right to know what's in our food but if you read the proposition - and all of its many exemptions - it's really more for the benefit of meat and dairy producers than for the consumer. I absolutely agree we need laws in place to regulate and warn about genetically modified food but a law that requires such labeling for pet food while creating an exemption for meat sold for human consumption seems backwards and ill conceived to me.

I wish our Sprouts had that frozen yogurt…maybe someday. I also wish that proposition was on our ballet this year too! No more GMO's! I hope it passes in CA. Have a great weekend friend.

Thanks for another great post! The last bit was nice, too. You do such a great job. I have tried so many of your ideas. I work full-time but your ideas are mom-tested already which is truly nice so I know I can do them. Like, can I accomplish during naptime if I am already tired and spilling coffee on everything! Thanks!

I love your blog. Your recipes and all the helpful skincare tips are so great. I wanted you to know that I made your Paleo Flourless Lemmon Poppyseed muffins yesterday and they were so delicious! Thanks.

You mean to tell me you don't wake up looking like your professional photos, while you put together a gourmet picnic in your state of the art kitchen, then skip through the meadow with your immaculately dressed, clean children who smell like lavender dryer sheets and then put together a flawless craft on a blanket in the perfectly green grass? Well I just don't know if I can follow you anymore now that I know you're living a bloggy lie.

Clearly all my posts are exactly how my day to day life is. And I still look exactly the same as my 11 year old profile picture. As I sit here and type, I'm in a cocktail dress with my hair done and full makeup on.

C'mon Lindsay, step it up, would ya?

P.S. All I can think about is that box of wine photo. And it's not even noon.

I have a 2 1/2 year old who is completely paci addicted. Right now I'm trying a new rule: if his 8 month old baby sister doesn't have her paci, neither does he. So far, lots of epic crying and wailing! And so jealous of you Californians. Sprouts, Jimbo's, TJ's and Whole Foods.

Yum! Have to try that frozen yogurt! And, believe me, I hear ya on keeping it real. Sigh...have a glass of wine and enjoy your weekend, friend!

Max is such a good boy, don't let the paci thing worry you! I swear Abigail's is a lifesaver and she won't have it forever but if she has it until 3 it still wouldn't bother me! They love them and are comforted by them, I say, All Hail the Pacifier! haha!

Also, is it embarrassing or what that I am literally sitting here drooling over that yogurt! Yum Yum!

A friend of mine broke the paci habit by secretly poking very tiny holes in it. Her son no longer liked the feeling in his mouth. Another took her kids away from them and they started sucking their thumbs - the result was they needed braces later on. My kids also sucked their thumbs and needed braces. Pacifiers are not so bad.

I love this post! I frequently get frustrated reading lifestyle blogs because a lot of them try to look so perfect, and we all know that's not how life always goes! Sometimes reading blogs like that even make me feel bad about myself and my very un-perfect life. Even though I know it is just people sharing all of the good things they have going on, it can be a turn off. I love your blog, you offer great tips and the recipes are delicious- and I always come back to read it because you keep it real. Thanks :)

We took away my son's beloved paci two weeks ago (he's almost 3.5) and he hasn't napped or slept well since. He's a crabby crabby boy! I kinda wish I'd held onto it longer...at least you know they won't go off to college with it!
But I also had my second boy the same month you did so I love reading about you juggling your two boys and trying to stay normal and sane and have some fun. You do a good job of keeping it real--although I will say you look really darn good doing it! I'm still a muffin top yoga pants mess who hasn't returned to the gym. But someday.... :)

The Baby Bjorn can be uncomfortable for babies, suspended by their crotches while their legs dangle. A baby carrier which supports their whole bottom in a more natural seated position, like the Ergo or Beco, might be more comfortable for you both. My Ergo was a lifesaver when my son was a baby and my daughter was a toddler! Plus, I could used it for back carry until he was 3, which you can't do at all with the Bjorn.
