I am starting a new series on my blog called "Gettin Your Groove Back"
The plan is once a week I will share my journey of how I plan to get my pre-pregnancy self back. This is not just about weight, although I will be talking about that because let's be honest you gain weight when pregnant. I gained a lot.
I know I am not the best at keeping up with series (like this one), but this is something I am really excited about and I am going to hold myself accountable to. It is so easy to get stuck in a rut and feel like you might have lost yourself a little bit. Yes I am a Mom but that does not mean I need to forget all about myself and stop doing the things I love. My hope is to inspire other women who may have similar feelings...Mom or not.
Every woman had "their time" before husbands, children and responsibilities and I think it's always important to feel sexy and confident no matter what stage of life you're in.
I will be starting the first post of the series next week.

What a great series idea! Can't wait to read it next week. :)
Awesome!! Can't wait to read!
Sounds like fun! I can't wait
I am so glad you're talking about this. And, it's funny because, over the weekend, I REALLY struggled with feeling sexy and 'like my old self.' I just felt like I couldn't put myself together like I used to. Hair was a mess (damn, this humidity). Baby spit-up on my shoulder. And I still am getting the pregnancy/post-pregnancy zits like I didn't have before.
Great idea!
sounds wonderful!!
Lindsay, great idea for a series. I am now a mom of an almost 19 year old and 22 year old. And yes, there have been times along the way where I felt I lost myself. I will be an empty nester come fall and one of my goals has been to work on finding myself again.
Cant wait for the posts:) I will def be referring back to them in September after the little guy is born
Love it! Cant wait!
I am really excited about this. I am 26 weeks along and love any and all advice for getting back in shape after baby gets here
can't wait to read this. im not a mom or a wife yet I think it's important for everyone to keep up a relationship with themself as they put so much time and effort into other ones. great idea!
Oooh great idea Lindsay, this was something that was so frustrating for me. It's hard to know where to start or what to do. I'll be coming back to this when I'm trying to lose after baby number 2 (which isn't on the horizon yet..haha).
YAY! This sounds awsome! Im in :)
I can't wait to see what you have to say!
Wow! This is so what I need right now! I'm in! I have been a mom of 2 girl for the last 4 years and have strugled to keep balans between beeing a mom and beeing me (if that makes any sense!) Ow and for the last 4 years I have been trying to lose the extra 55 lbs (OMG it sounds so much worse in lbs than it does in kilo's!I'm from Holland, here we use kilo's). I've lost 26,8 in the last few months. But I'm struggeling now, so I would love to read your tips and tricks!
I wish you the best of luck in finding the perfect balans and your old body!
