24 week bump update + a few other things
Tuesday, February 21, 2012
I am officially 24 weeks (6 months pregnant) and time seems to be flying. Maybe it's because I am busy chasing around a crazy 1 1/2 year old and I don't have the luxury of feeling sorry for myself while watching "A Baby Story" and eating a whole box of popsicles this time around.
Things that are annoying:
-Cellulite. I have never been dimple free but what is up with cellulite and pregnancy? I literally had to do a double take at my butt the other day.
-Not being able to run. I love running. I tried slow jogging and almost fainted on the treadmill. I will stick with the bike and elliptical until after baby.
-Really missing wine, sushi and coffee.
-My belly button has taken on a whole new shape that no longer resembles my old one. I have learned to dress around my new belly button though...stripes and patterns help conceal it, solid colored shirts do not.
-I ripped my favorite workout pants. I am now aware that my butt is no longer a size small and I should not have tried to squeeze into them but I am still bummed.
Things that I am loving:
- Little baby kicks and punches that are now a regular daily occurrence.
- Only 3 months left until I get to meet my little man!
- Baby is growing perfectly and is so healthy. Such a relief for a diabetic Momma.
- I like normal food again. I was worried about this one for a while there.
-Pregnancy boobs. Too bad they don't stay that way.
-Max kisses my tummy when I ask him where his brother is.
-My sweet husband gives me a foot massage almost every night.
-Getting so excited and inspired for baby's nursery and SO thankful that my Aunt is helping me decorate!
I am off to a routine weekly doctor's appointment this morning. Hearing that little heartbeat never gets old.

I can't believe it's been 6 months already! It's definitely flying by. Women who are pregnant and still manage to workout at all amaze me. Good for you! It'll making running that much easier post-baby! I hope that after I have a baby my boobs will shrink. They're just too big for my liking and I'm not pregnant. Hope the appt goes well!! Getting so excited for you.
You look great! I can't believe that you only have 3 months left! I got really sick of feel like I couldn't fill my lungs. I am short and have a small torso so there wasn't really much room for my babies!
aw you look so cute! I love that Max knows where his little brother is. They are going to be such good buddies! I'm so glad that the baby is healthy!
you look so cute & happy! love it.
1) You are just beautiful.
2) Yay for daily foot massages! I miss those!
3) Wine & sushi are exactly what I miss. I am not as good as you and drink coffee (1 cup a day) throughout pregnancy:)
Grow baby grow!
You look gorgeous!! He's going to be such a lucky little guy!
aw you look absolutely gorgeous!!! I didn't miss coffee or sushi much but sodas I sure did!!! yay for just 3 more months!
You look perfect! And I often dream of having my "big" boobs from being pregnant and nursing.
you look GREAT!! I wish I would have looked that good with my 2nd baby! I love reading your blogs they are so inspiring to me to keep a positive out look on life!
I love you and baby bump!! So beautiful!! And I miss my boobs terribly. wah wahh. :)
Great photos!! you look sooo pretty! Seriously me too about loving normal food!
You look wonderful! I miss being pregnant with a passion. A week after our now 1-year old son was born, I looked in my closet at all my cute maternity shirts and cried, haha!
Oh Lindsay you look great! The sound of that heartbeat is one of the best things, truly!
you my dear are so cute! your baby bump is grrrrowing!!! & sorry you ripped your favorite workout pants :/
Have a great Tuesday :)
love your list especially about the boobs...lol...to bad that don't stay that way!
p.s you look fabulous friend!!!!
Awwww your bump is sweet! It actually looks small for 24 weeks. As soon as you have your little man you'll be back down to what you were. I'm feeling all the same way as you. Funny enough I'm more nervous this time around for labor and I actually had a good labor last time. It's almost like ignorance is bliss lol.

AH I thought I was the only one with the pregnant cellulite butt syndrome. WHAT is up with that?
Great post! You look beautiful! Love that max kisses your tummy, he is going to be a great big brother!
You look absolutely adorable!! :)
You are too cute, I love the belly pictures
You my friend, are the absolute cutest pregnant gal I know! I LOVE your sweet belly, adorable! You look great Linds!
hmmm not having sushi might make me re-think not having kids, how could i go without my beloved sushi? and are you giving up coffee or are pregnant ladies not allowed to have coffe?? ah lindsay how will i survive?
You have such a cute pregnant belly!
And that is so cute that Max kisses your belly!
You look WONDERFUL! And I so miss wine/beer/sushi... but I am definitely still drinking coffee. One cup a day keeps me sane!
3(ish) weeks till I meet my little girl! Can't wait.
Walking on the treadmill at a 4 (no incline) is getting hard for me, and I was jogging on and off just a few weeks ago... So sad!! I was just thinking about how I might have to switch to an elliptical instead and the thought in itself made me sad. Oh well, at least we made it this far, right?? And my belly button never did weird things last time and I feel like it is this time... It might actually pop out this round and I'm not looking forward to that at all.
I'm glad I'm having a normal pregnancy minus the sciatica but wish I was going in more often. I can't wait until the 2 week appts start for me, it makes the time go by MUCH faster.
You are absolutely gorgeous! I can't believe it's 6 months already!! SO exciting!

You look wonderful! I'm only 12 weeks into my pregnancy so I'm a little jealous (also with an 18month old running around) of you cute bump and progress. So glad to hear you are having a healthy pregnancy!
Isn't it the worst to want the things we cant have? I want a glass of wine and sushi so bad. I drink coffee occassionally ;)
You are a beautiful beautiful pregnant woman. Seriously. I can only hope to look like that. :) And you probably already know this, but my teacher said that cellulite is from toxins. So soda etc. Not sure where it would come from in pregnancy, but thought you'd like that. :)
I'm 24 weeks along as well! Love your blog & all your healthy recipes!

You are so gorgeous, Lindsay!!! Love your striped dress and denim jacket :) Oh man...wine and sushi are my staples! What will I ever do if we decide to have kids one day??!! XO brynn
You are so gorgeous! I also couldn't run while pregnant, I wanted to go faster than what my body could handle so I stopped (like you almost fainted a couple of times, not good). I swam and did yoga instead ;)
