Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating. I actually made it until midnight...I was pretty proud of myself :)
2012 is going to be amazing...I just know it! I want to kick off the new year with a fun DIY that I have been wearing recently.
2012 is going to be amazing...I just know it! I want to kick off the new year with a fun DIY that I have been wearing recently.
What you will need:
- 3 different colors of polymer clay
- Some kind of roller (a large marker will also do the trick)
- Razor blade
- Cotton cord
- Krazy glue
- Toothpick or object to poke a hole in clay
Soften and condition the clay with your hands before starting. Use the roller to roll out a small flat piece. Do this with each color.
Carefully slice out 3 triangles. You are going to make the first one the largest and the two following smaller.
Poke a hole in the smallest of the 3 triangles. Place the triangles on a baking sheet and bake at 275 for 20 minutes.
Krazy glue the triangles on top of each other, staggering them a little bit.
Attach the necklace cord and have fun wearing! You can get creative and add more triangles and of course the color combinations are endless.

Looks an awful lot like these earrings I made! http://www.etsy.com/listing/79580511/neon-tribal-colorblock-earrings-triangle
Christina C- Very similar! Your version is great too! The earrings in your Etsy shop (that you listed above) were listed on Jan 8th and this post was done Jan 2...great minds think alike :)
My earrings were originally posted during the summer (renewed Jan 8th. But great minds indeed! From one clay lover to another!
This is a brilliant idea. I used to create my own earrings and this concept for a pendant is great. I'd love to make a colored yellow pendant. You can really do a lot of jewelry designs out of these polymer clays. gold bars for sale
